Derek Murrow is a mountain bike athlete, backcountry skier, guide, coach, and father based in Denver, Colorado. Over 14 years of competitive racing, he has completed the Leadville Trail 100 MTB nine times — seven of those under nine hours. He balances that competitive drive with a full-time career in IT Consulting at Amazon, and with raising two young daughters alongside his wife.
Beyond his own racing, Derek is committed to creating community through endurance sport. He hosts weekly group rides on the Front Range, coaches athletes toward their personal best on the bike, and raises funds and awareness for causes that matter — including First Descents, a non-profit serving young adults affected by cancer, and Colorado Uplift, where he has served on the board of directors.
A USA Cycling Level 3 coach and CrossFit Level 1 trainer, Derek's coaching philosophy is grounded in proper goal setting, positive encouragement, and hard work. He understands firsthand what it takes to chase ambitious athletic goals while honoring every other commitment life demands.
Impact Endurance is building a roster of athletes committed to performance and purpose. If that's you, we want to hear from you.
